Jim Gordon worked for 10-years as a claims adjuster. He worked for , Cherokee Insurance (which brought him from Oklahoma to Nashville, Tennessee in 1973), and Crawford and Co. He decided to take a chance and branch out on his own by trying his skills in the Construction Business. In 1976, he began Gordon Construction. He worked diligently in the first year as a one-man show, painting and doing small construction jobs. In 1977, Anita Everett and wife, Bunny Gordon (Jim's bride of 45 years), joined the company. Anita Everett led of the cleaning team and was also instrumental in GCI's success. Anita worked with Gordon Construction, Inc. for 32 years. The growth and success of GCI can be contributed to Jim's honesty, diligence , and persistance to provide for his famiy! His Son, Briscoe, and Daughter, Kelly, now work for GCI as well. Gordon Construction, Inc. is considered a first choice in Fire and Water Restoration in the Middle Tennessee area!
