Our vision
To support and enhance the Latino community in developing a strong economic base from which to participate more fully in American society and economy. To educate and train Latinos in financial and business practices so that each individual has the knowledge and skills necessary to better himself or herself both economically and socially.

Mission Statement
Las Americas Business Center, Inc. (“Las Americas”) seeks to operate as a profitable business fostering the development and expansion of Latino businesses by providing multi-cultural, multi-professional, technical and linguistic support to the Latino and other ethnic communities. Las Americas focuses on providing business consulting, business seminars, and tax and accounting expertise to new and established Latino clients and businesses.


History
Founded by Ms. Rosario Reyes and Mr. Juan Peralez in 1989, Lynnwood
Accounting Center, Inc., a corporation of the State of Washington, opened its first
office in Lynnwood, Washington. In 1995, the company changed its name to Las
Americas Business Center, Inc. Today it maintains its principal place of business at
6605 202nd Street, SW, Lynnwood, Washington 98036. Arising directly from Rosario’s vision of service to her community, from the beginning, Las Americas offered a full array of services to individuals and businesses, with a concentration on accounting and income tax preparation. Today, Las Americas offers accounting and taxes, insurance, business and individual financial counseling, mortgages and real estate.
In 1994, Las Americas acquired its first permanent location at 19909 64th Avenue, W, Lynnwood, Washington 98036. In 1997, Las Americas sponsored the
first Latino business fair in the Puget Sound Region in partnership with Washington
Mutual Bank and City Bank to showcase its clients’ businesses not only to the Latino
community but, more importantly, to the wider community. Civic and business
leaders from the region appreciated the opportunity to interface with Latino
business people about economic partnerships and greater participation in the
regional economy. Las Americas continued to sponsor the business fair for five years with other partners, including Wells Fargo Bank, Sound Community Bank and
Seattle Savings & Mortgage.
Since the onset of the mortgage and financial crisis, Las Americas has been
active in advising its clients regarding their property and mortgages. Specifically,
clients have received advice and assistance in renegotiating and refinancing
mortgages as well as advice concerning selling in the current real estate market.
Often advice to deal directly with their lenders has resulted in the clients returning
overwhelmed with the paperwork and unable to understand or proceed.
