The property insurance market in Florida has endured a nearly continuous state of turmoil since 1992 in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew and this condition has been exasperated by the numerous hurricanes during 2004 and 2005. Property insurance risk assessment and pricing throughout the world has evolved over the past decade as reinsurers, intermediaries and direct insurance carriers have modified their approach to marketing and underwriting property risks. While many insurers, particularly large national insurers, seek to reduce their exposure in Florida (as well as other catastrophe-exposed states), and non-domestic insurers avoid Florida altogether, we will use our detailed knowledge of Florida policyholders, territorial pricing, highly automated systems, spread of risk approach, regulatory and legislative matters, agency relationships and technical capabilities to grow a profitable book of property insurance policies.

ATIC, under a servicing agreement with our business partner West Point Underwriters, LLC, markets, underwrites and processes all the property insurance policies.

MUSA MGA, LLC serves as the MGA for Modern. Jerger Insurance Holding Company, a Florida corporation, wholly owns Modern USA Insurance Company. MUSA MGA, LLC has common ownership with Jerger Insurance Holding Company. Modern USA Insurance Company, under a servicing agreement with our business partner West Point Underwriters, LLC, markets, underwrites and processes all the property insurance policies.
