The Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut was founded by a group of dedicated physicians who were interested in creating an innovative and progressive medical practice devoted to providing sophisticated, state-of-the-art medical care in a warm and caring environment. The primary focus of the practice has always been to help people and maintain the interest of patients, rather than just treat diseases .
The first small office was opened on Prince Street in New Haven in 1997 and over the course of 15 years the practice has evolved dramatically to employ over 130 people throughout the greater New Haven area:
We have added many more physicians and mid-level providers from around the world who possess diverse and comprehensive training and expertise. We have moved our flagship office from downtown New Haven to the Spring Glen Medical Center in Hamden and opened satellite offices in Milford and Guilford for the convenience of our patients. We've built two state-of-the-art endoscopy centers so that our patients have a convenient and cost-effective alternative to hospital-based medical care. We have opened a research center so that our patients can participate in cutting-edge treatment options. We are excited to carry on the principles by which this practice was founded and offer personalized, comprehensive, state-of-the art medical care for our patients.
