The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is the only animal shelter serving Chelan and Douglas Counties. We provide care for displaced pets, provide spay/neuter services with each adoption, offer a low-cost spay/neuter program for low-income citizens, provide emergency vet care for animals that arrive needing medical care at our shelter, and find new homes for the abandoned and stray animals in our community. The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is an independent non-profit shelter, meaning we rely on donations and support from the local community in order to provide these crucial services to our area. As of summer 2016, WVHS is also a No-Kill Shelter, meaning no healthy, treatable animals are euthanized. There are no time restrictions on the animals in our care.
