Community Action receives its core funding from the Department of Energy, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, Community Services Block Grant, the Emergency Food Assistance Program, and Housing and Urban Development as well as other Federal, State and local support.
Community Action is governed by a uniquely structured board of directors whose members are derived from three diverse sectors of the counties Community Action serves. The Low-income sector, the Public sector and the Private sector make up the board.
