Beautiful big, pink, puffy clouds over the Inn for sunset tonight...

Another great TripAdvisor review. Thanks! “Perfect central coast experience” Reviewed 2 days ago by tlyntp I could write about this place a milluon times and probably never quite express this happy place!! I can not say enough about it! It is a joy, a wonder and the most pleasant place to stay, relax and rest your head. When I made a reservation here I was not expecting much. I don't know the area that well and I wasn't so sure about spending a holiday at a local hotel. We picked it because we had heard good things about it as a "bed and breakfast" from a friend a few years back. Well, I guess things have changed at Back Bay Inn since my friend stayed there because it was like a little slice of heaven - not a "B & B." It certainly has the coziness of a bed and breakfast - so if you like that style of comfort - you won't be disappointed. It also has the feel of a mini resort but with ZERO touristy factor. It is completely laid back lodging that really embodies the Morro Bay/Central Coast relaxed vibe. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained. It was such a joy to walk around and see all the cozy nooks and crannies that were created for the comfort of the guests. There is a large grass area for events and several seating areas to just sit around and soak up the sun. The main lodge offers 14 rooms then just across the way the Inn offers two more buildings and a few stand alone bungalows to round out this amazing "B & B." The decor in the rooms is simple, comfortable, super clean and very personal. I felt like I was staying at a friend's home. There are two cafes and a fine dining restaurant on the grounds - all within a teeny tiny walk from your room. When we stayed there - only the main cafe was open - the line was long but it was worth the wait. The food was crazy delicious and the coffee was excellent! If you are a guest at the Inn - you also get a free voucher for breakfast and it will not disappoint. The Blue Heron - which is the fine dining restaurant was just opening and it looked beautiful - I will have to come back again and try it out. There is also a bar just kitty-corner to the 2nd Street Cafe (which was closed for the holiday) so if you require a little night life - you won't be left out. There is plenty to see and do off 2nd street as well during the day. Back Bay Inn appears to be pet friendly as well - and last but never least - the staff was simply fantastic. Ryan who runs the front was super professional but eager to please every guest that came in to the office on the busy holiday morning. It deserves 10 stars in my book - and I will definitely make any excuse to come back!
