Luis Melendi is now in North Carolina

Melendi is a professional Florida Keys photographer. He served Key Largo, Islamorada, Ocean Reef and Miami for the past 45 years. Melendi's Key Largo Photo Studio specialized in Traditional Fine Portraiture, High School Seniors, Commercial Photo Illustrations, and Photo By Appointment only. For over four decades, Master Craftsman Portrait Artist Luis Melendi has successfully photographed Corporate Executives, High Fashion for Advertising, Portraits of Families, Women and Children.

Luis Melendi is a Life member of the Professional Photographers of America ‘PPA’, a Life member of the Florida Professional Photographers ‘FPP’ and the Professional Photographers Guild of Florida ‘PPGF’.

From 1977 to 2913 Melendi was the publishing editor of the Florida Photographer, the official
publication of the FPP, and has received top national honors from the
Professional Photographers of America (PPA). His annual awards include
nine first places, three of them consecutive. In 1989, Luis was asked to
manage the Trade Show for the FPP's Annual Convention; he continued
his duties as publishing editor and in a short time turned the Florida
Trade Show into one of the industry's most successful photographic state
shows in the country. For his contributions to both the FPP and the PPGF, he was bestowed the coveted Life Membership Award. Luis retired in 2013!

Recognizing Melendi's achievements and service to the community,
the mayor of Dade County honored him with the Luis Melendi Day
proclamation, and presented him the Key to Dade County; Luis also received
a proclamation from the City of Miami. Melendi is past director of the Key
Largo Chamber of Commerce.
