Founded in 1962 by George Heery, Hytrol Conveyors Midwest, Inc. (HCM), has evolved from a single line conveyor distributorship into one of the region's most respected system design, sales and service companies. Now roughly 40 years later, the customer list has expanded, the product line has broadened, and the applications have grown more complex to include not only conveyor hardware but also accessory equipment, installation, and systems management. Through it all HCM has grown.
When long time employee, Chuck Hillebold, purchased the company from Heery in 1983, HCM was on the threshold of change and expansion. Customized, complex and highly integrated systems were becoming the norm. The push was on to increase efficiencies, outpace the competition and remain the low cost producer. To help their customers keep that competitive edge, HCM diversified to offer a system-wide range of products to fully fit any application or budget.
The most notable product added to HCM line over the years, however, is one not found on spec sheets. Working side-by-side with each customer, HCM is far from a hardware supplier anymore. A team management approach which involves the customer guides all projects regardless of size or complexity. By building strong strategic alliances with each customer, the HCM team of field sales engineers, expert CAD designers, knowledgeable and responsive inside sales and administrative staff make meeting customer needs a primary goal.
