Our heritage runs deep here at Alexander & Company CPAs PSC. We are proud of our rich history in accounting in the state of Kentucky. Alexander & Company CPAs PSC was founded by Edward T. Alexander in 1924 and is one of the oldest CPA firms in the state. Edward was a Cumberland native and graduated from Bowling Green Business University. He moved to Owensboro at the young age of 29. The Company was founded as a sole proprietorship and with the addition of Hubert H. Humphrey in 1927, the firm practiced as a partnership under the name of Alexander & Company Auditors and Accountants. Although many firms change names through forced merger or acquisition, Alexander & Company CPAs PSC has survived and even thrived through both, the Great Depression and the Great Recession by providing our clients outstanding service.

We are very proud of our heritage and the reputation that our firm has obtained with financial institutions, other professionals, and Federal, State and local taxing authorities. Since our inception the firm has enjoyed a steady substantial growth which has come about mainly by referrals from existing clients.

We are proud to be located in Owensboro, Kentucky to provide small and medium size nonprofit and governmental organizations with audit and accounting services, systems evaluation and support, and bookkeeping services. Our professional services also include personal and business financial and management consulting, computer consulting, accounting, auditing and tax services. The focus of all our services is to help our clients identify and achieve their goals.
