Baltimore Choral Arts added 2 new photos.
On Saturday night, Choral Arts Music Director Emeritus Tom Hall led 300 singers and the Springfield Symphony in a sold-out performance of the Verdi Requiem at Berkshire Choral International, in Sheffield, Massachusetts. The featured soloists included soprano Jennifer Check, mezzo-soprano Ann McMahon Quintero, tenor John Bellemer, and bass Kevin Deas. Celebrating 36 years, Berkshire Choral International brings together singers from the U.S. and abroad in an intensive week to rehearse and perform the great choral masterpieces. Bravo to Tom and all the participants!

Wonderful concert last night at the Chorus America Conference featuring the L.A. Master Chorale at Disney Hall in L.A. A standing ovation for composer Morten Lauridsen followed the 20th Anniversary performance of his "Lux Aeterna, led by Artistic Director Grant Gershon. Baltimore Choral Arts Music Director Anthony Blake Clark congratulated Grant on this extraordinary performance.

Tom was honored last night with the J. Reilly Lewis Award for Outstanding Contributions to Choral Music at the Greater Washington Area Choral Excellence Ovation Awards. It was a wonderful evening, hosted by the Choralis Foundation in Arlington, VA. Joining Tom at the event were his wife, Linell Smith, Baltimore Choral Arts Music Director Designate Anthony Blake Clark, Executive Director Linda Moxley, and Board member Steve Wilcoxson. Bravo, Tom!
