Excellence is a magazine that covers all things Porsche.
Subjects covered in Excellence include but are not limited to: Porsche news and history, motorsports involving Porsche, Porsche cars new and old, technical tips and forums to make your Porsche better, market updates, and commentary by Porsche experts.
Excellence magazine’s first issue was the January/February 1987 issue, published in the fall of 1986, back when the Excellence name hadn’t yet taken hold. Porsche Magazine was our publication’s original title and it printed as that for only five issues out of six published that year. Porsche AG wasn’t happy with the name we had chosen because Porsche is its registered trademark. Porsche threatened to file suit – and later did – across the country in New York, NY. We decided to change the name, and through reader feedback we settled on Excellence.
But what hasn’t changed in over 20 years of publishing is our commitment to our audience. We strive to be the definitive Porsche authority where questions about anything Porsche – new and old – can and will be answered.
