K & D Industrial Service

K&D Industrial Services, Inc. has been providing fast, efficient and cost-effective industrial and environmental services to customers since 1974. Founded by Ken Liabenow and Dennis Springer, K&D focuses on providing safe, efficient and economical services to industry.

Originally located in Livonia, Michigan, K&D moved to its present location in Romulus in 1976. Since then, K&D has demonstrated continued growth by adding branches and services. A second Michigan branch was added in Midland in 1982. This opening was followed shortly by two additional Michigan branches: one in Kalamazoo during 1987 and the second in Grand Rapids in 1993.

In 1986, as we were expanding our Michigan operation, we also opened our first Ohio branch in Mansfield to service the steel industry. In 2001 with the addition of a second Ohio branch located near Dayton. we service the Midwest area in a much larger capacity. Currently, K&D provides industrial, environmental and transportation services throughout Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

Safety has always been an important component of K&D's service program. The company employs a full time Safety Director to administer an active employee safety program. All employees receive extensive in-house training on equipment operation, hazardous communication and quality service issues prior to being released to the field. Training continues on a monthly basis for all employees throughout the year.
