Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirits of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed - else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die. - Dwight D Eisenhower.

Vacation time is here! Please take a few minutes to prepare your home prior to departure. Trust us – your home will be thankful! In our experience, we have encountered many claims from homeowners RETURNING from trips, only to find nasty surprises! TO KEEP THE VANDALS AWAY – 1. Your neighbor can be your best friend. Tell them when you leave. If possible, they could park their car in your driveway. 2. Ask your neighbor to collect your mail if you can’t stop it through the post office. 3. Place a timer on indoor and/or outdoor lights. 4. Make sure your lawn stays mowed. 5. Needless to say – lock all doors and windows! TO KEEP THE WATER AWAY – 1. Turn off your main water shut-off. No surprises! TO KEEP THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AWAY – 1. Unplug small appliances such as computers, televisions and coffeemakers. 2. Test your smoke detectors to make sure they are in good working order. TO KEEP THE SMELLIES AWAY – 1. Clean out the refrigerator in case of power loss. 2. Take out the trash – prevents bugs too! And don’t forget – if your pre-planning fails, please call us! We can help!
