Founded in 1949 and sponsored by the Midwest Province of the Brothers of Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Indiana, St. Edward High School is a private Catholic institution of approximately 930 young men in grades nine to twelve. Our students come from the Greater Cleveland area, some from a distance of more than twenty miles.
St. Edward High School is chartered as a First Grade High School by the Ohio Department of Education. It is accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association (OCSAA) as well as by AdvancED.
Our faculty consists of 70 teachers, all of whom more than meet the professional standards set by the Ohio Department of Education and AdvancED. Eighty-five percent hold graduate degrees. The student/teacher ratio is 12:1.
St. Edward High School is an International Baccalaureate World School which offers the IB Diploma Programme. Our first group of IB Diploma Recipients consisted of 28 members of the graduating class of 2014.
