Love this feature on alumni Christopher and Edmel! Looking forward to reading the full story.
“When I was little I used to bus all around Chinatown. I used to hold my grandma’s hand in the morning time, in the bus at like eight or nine A.M., and I would always hear these elderlies around the area, a sense of culture—it was just a nice feeling. But now when I go back to Chinatown, with all these high rises being built and everything, I don’t see any of the elderlies and that feeling’s gone.” Chris and Edmel's full interview will be in The Race Index, released Fall 2018.
