In 2010, Superior Asphalt, Inc. unveiled its first state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Grand Rapids.
Superior’s Dutton manufacturing facility is equipped with a 300-ton-per-hour counter-flow Gencor drum asphalt plant. The plant is highly efficient and reliable. Superior Asphalt, Inc. is MDOT pre-qualified and the plant is equipped with a fully staffed, state certified testing lab.
Superior’s ability to pave driveway to highway, a pathway to a roadway, pothole to a parking lot, makes us a unique paving company. What sets Superior further apart from our competition, is the ability to provide Hot Mix Asphalt and maintenance services 12 months of the year in Michigan. The Dutton plant and Century Office locations are equipped to recycle asphalt material and produce a specialized winter HMA. Superior’s winter HMA is used by our paving crews, local municipalities and utility companies as a suitable, durable solution for winter maintenance projects.
