Named for its founders, Carl "Huffy" Hoffman and Leora (Fike) Hoffman, Fi-Hoff Concrete Products was founded in 1946 in order to meet the demands of the housing market in Johnstown, PA at the time. Alot of World War II Veterans were finding their way to the Pennsylvania town in order to gain employment in the booming steel mills. The ambitious couple saw the opportunity to make precast walk slabs and decorative items in their basement, and Fi-Hoff was born.
