The LaFleur Music Company was started in 1925 by LaFleur Sr. and his wife Loretta. In 1932, the LaFleur Music company entered into the amusement owned and operated the LaFleur Music Company in Williston and founded the Northwest Piano Company in Minot. I. F. LaFleur Jr. joined the company in 1946 in Devils Lake. In 1948 the name of the company was changed to LaFleur & Son,
