Chief Deputy Ernie Beitel shows off an embroidered wall hanging, handmade by Vickie Hawkins, that was presented on behalf of the Hawkins and Grapevines families to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and the Bemidji Police Department on Friday, February 17th. Vickie Hawkins explained that her family and particularly her grandchildren helped inspire her to make this very special gift. We will proudly display this in our Law Enforcement Center. Thank you to Vickie and her family!

CONGRATULATIONS... TWO COMPLETE FBI TRAINING... The BCSO would like to congratulate and recognize Court Security Lead Deputy Shane Gustafson (left) and Corrections Sergeant Mario Scandinato on their successful completion of the FBI LEEDA training. Through the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association they completed courses covering three levels of leadership. Supervisor Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and Executive Leadership Institute. They will receive their trilogy award in a few months. Job well done!

THANKS FOR THE VALENTINE'S WISH... Chief Deputy Beitel captured a special singing telegram that was delivered to all of the BCSO employees today. Thanks to SUPPORT WITHIN REACH for sending us much love today. Hope all have an enjoyable Valentine's Day.

A FRIENDLY REMINDER... Proper inflation is important. Check your tire pressure on a regular basis, remember temperatures can affect the PSI. Regardless of who you were cheering for, heck of a game 'eh?!

STILL NOT GOOD ENOUGH... Someone must not have seen our post from yesterday... another driver was cited this morning for driving like this. It would be very easy to miss another car or even easier to miss a child trying to cross the street at an intersection with this obstructed view. Be safe out there folks, clear your windshield before you drive.
