MOOSE CROSSING... Our boat and water deputies were assisting in crowd control keeping boaters away as this fella was taking a dip in Lake Bemidji this morning. If you are boating and come across moose or deer in the water, do not confront them or chase them... or we will be chasing you. Give them space and let them be. The moose continues to wander around Lake Bemidji on Saturday. If you are observing from shore STAY AWAY FROM THE MOOSE if he comes to shore! Their behavior can be very unpredictable, especially if they wander through buildings and people.

Beltrami County Sheriff's Office shared Beltrami County Emergency Management's post.
STAY AWAY FROM THE MOOSE... Emergency services today have been dealing with a large moose that is taking a swim in Lake Bemidji. Obviously the moose is attracting a lot of attention. If you are in the area do not impede traffic and observe safely. If the moose comes to shore STAY AWAY FROM THE MOOSE. Their behavior can be unpredictable, especially if it comes to shore in an area with buildings and people.

SO MANY YEARS AGO... Still seems like yesterday. Remembering all of those impacted on this day, and those who lost their lives running into danger to help others. Also thinking of those who continue to have pain today. 9/11/01
