I started my business in 2004 after spending over 10 years working in various accounting and finance related positions in the private and public sectors. I am a graduate of Huntingdon Area and have a in Public Accounting from Juniata College.
I passed the Enrolled Agent exam in 2005. This was a 4- part test over the course of two days covering all aspects of the tax code. An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals.
I am also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. ProAdvisors are QuickBooks specialists who assist clients in all aspects of using the software. This includes set-up, training, and trouble-shooting. It also includes helping get you back on track if you have made a mess of things.
My services also include payroll and bookkeeping for small businesses clients. I have payroll clients with as few as three employees and others with over 50 during certain times of the year. Bookkeeping clients range from very small contractors to larger organizations.
