The Alzheimer's & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin (ADAW) began providing services as a nonprofit organization in 1985. In 1990, it was incorporated as a chapter of the national Alzheimer's Association. In 2009, ADAW disaffiliated from the Alzheimer's Association becoming an independent nonprofit organization governed by a local board of directors.
ADAW serves south-central Wisconsin with offices in Beloit, Green Lake, Lancaster, Madison, Mauston, and Portage.
