The Center is made up of two properties, the Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary and the Wild Bird Hospital:
Our Bird Hospital operates with the same ethics and standards asked of any clinic or veterinary office. The Bird Hospital also serves as an education center, teaching interns and students about wildlife and some of the negative impacts of human interactions.
The Wild Bird Sanctuary offers five acres of wetlands that serve as a habitat for over 120 rehabilitated birds unable to live in the wild due to injury. The property has one of the only known saltwater tidal ponds in Monroe County, an abundance of native flora, fauna and animal species. The Sanctuary serves as a natural habitat to wildlife, as a healthy and flourishing part of the ecosystem and as a home for those birds no longer able to survive in the wild (many of which cannot fly).
