Southeast Polk, located on the east edge of Des Moines, is at Iowa’s recreation center. It is from Runnells, Altoona and Mitchellville - the three founding high schools - that we receive the RAM, which serves as the school mascot. The acronym RAMS also stands for the “Right Attitude Means Success.”
