Our beginning level Aikido classes focus on non-violent self defense. This is crucial for children and teens, women, the LGBT community, seniors, and men too. Once students master the beginning techniques, they delve deeper into the techniques of Aikido, which looks a lot like martial arts dancing and is lots of fun. Aikido practitioners and parents report improved feelings of safety, increased self-esteem and self reliance, improved focus and concentration, and improve overall flexibility and strength. We also offer and host complementary practices, including parenting classes, meditation and healing groups, drum circles, and special events.
