Our hearts go out to David Cassidy’s family and friends today as they mourn his loss. Growing up in the 70s, you couldn’t escape him. David Cassidy was a true teen heartthrob. Last year, Cassidy bravely spoke about his fear and denial in accepting he had dementia, something his grandfather and mother had also battled. Another music legend, 1970s’s AC/DC co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young, died from dementia four days ago. The disease forced Young to leave AC/DC in 2010.

This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for our diverse Aegis Living community. When we see our differences as strengths while also celebrating our common bonds, we can accomplish so much. With that in mind, we invite you to watch #WisdomDiaries Part 2, featuring more stories about what makes us unique and what brings us together, starring some of our own residents and staff. The Art of Alzheimer's recently put out a new recipe book, Food for Thought, featuring a recipe from our own National Director of Culinary, Justin Sledge! The book pairs remarkable paintings by Alzheimer’s patients with tasty, nourishing recipes created by well-known chefs. Proceeds go to support creative arts programs for people living with Alzheimer’s and their families. You can order your own copy here:
