Grand Slam Martial Arts provides family valued martial arts instruction to the town and surrounding communities of Lynchburg and Rustburg, Virginia.
Our mission is to help each student become a self-disciplined and confident individual both in the class and out.
Here at Grand Slam Martial Arts we offer classes for students from 3 years and above. Students will receive training in the art of Shotokan Karate, a traditional style of karate, as well as American Freestyle martial arts and innovative self-defense techniques. Classes are built to help each student have a healthy self-esteem by developing students' fitness, focus,and coordination. Each student will be able to develop at their own pace while striving to give their best effort.
Staff: Sensei Jeff Doss Sensei Jeff Doss is the Senior Instructor at Grand Slam Martial Arts. Sensei Doss has been a martial artist for 25 years and is a graduate of Radford University in Exercise, Sport, and Health Education. Sensei Doss is also a Rustburg native and has traveled the world competing in sport karate tournaments for over 23 years. Awards and Achievements: Fourth Degree Black belt in Shotokan Karate Fourth Degree Black belt in American Freestyle Karate Seventeen-time World Sport Karate Champion Taught eight World and National Sport Karate Champions Has been featured on ESPN, FOX Sports Net, and Black Belt TV Has performed for various Community Events around the Lynchburg/Rustburg Area
Mr. Jacob Watson Mr. Watson is one of our Assistant Instructor's here at Grand Slam Martial Arts. He is also one of our first Blackbelts. Mr. Jacob is a great asset to the GSMA family as he helps teach most of our classes. He also helps with our After School Program daily as well. He is a Junior at Rustburg High School where he is excelling in the Junior college program! Jacob is also an amateur Under belt world Champion!
Mr. Aaron Bailey Mr. Aaron Bailey is a Junior Instructor at GSMA. Aaron is a 6 time amateur world Champion and a 4 time NBL black belt runner up.
