Williams County is located at the extreme northwest corner of Ohio. The county is bordered by Hillsdale County Michigan to the north with Steuben and Dekalb Counties in Indiana to the west. The east border is Fulton and Henry Counties and Defiance County is our southern border. Williams county has a population of approximately 37,000 residents spread over 429 square miles. The County is comprised of six villiages (Edgerton, Stryker, Edon, Montpelier, West Unity, and Pioneer), one city (Bryan), and our rural areas. Steve Towns is the current Sheriff. He was appointed to the position in 2012 and was elected to begin his term in 2013.
