The Cold War Museum® is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to education, preservation, and research on the global, ideological, and political confrontations between East and West from the end of World War II to the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
The Museum is located at Vint Hill, in one of the former Vint Hill Farms Station buildings used during the Cold War for signals intelligence by the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the US Army to safeguard the United States against a surprise nuclear attack. Vint Hill is part of The Journey through Hallowed Ground national heritage area and in close proximity to the Manassas National Battlefield Park, the National Museum of the Marine Corps, and the historic towns of Leesburg, Manassas and Warrenton, Virginia. The Museum shares a campus with The Inn at Vint Hill and the Vint Hill Craft Winery.
