Established by 6-Day racer, Oscar Juner, in 1941, American Cyclery is the oldest bicycle shop in San Francisco. For more than 75 years, we’ve passionately provided the finest-quality bicycles, parts, and accessories for the demanding and selective Bay Area customer. Our repair and maintenance team is also highly experienced to handle all of your cycling needs. American Cyclery continuously strives to deliver individualized service and mechanical excellence to everyone who walks through the door. In our long history, we’ve been the forerunner of many cycling legacies, and we’re proud of the long list of bicycle industry luminaries who pay tribute to our long-standing establishment. Many components used for the early development of the original mountain bike movement were even purchased from our shop in the early ‘80s. Today, we continue to honor that tradition by carefully selecting bicycles and products which meet our high-quality standards.
