The Valley Women's Center is a non-profit outpatient agency partially funded by the Los Angeles County Substance Abuse Prevention and Control, and modest fees and private donations. It was founded in 1976 as the first comprehensive program for women at risk for alcohol in the San Fernando Valley. Since its founding, the Center has expanded its reach and services that include substance abuse, domestic violence and mental health counseling for men, women and children.
