The Greater Salisbury Committee is made up of business, educational, institutional and non-profit leaders who are dedicated to identifying the community's needs and challenges, and offering solutions. The GSC membership has been instrumental in establishing such entities as Wor-Wic Community College; the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore; Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development; Jr. Achievement; Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Services (SNHS); the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS). It's currently active in many other areas: Lower Shore Wind; the creation of a Community Development Corporation; helping with the At-risk student population; and working with the Wicomico Board of Education to help with its mentor shortage. Ideas and energy are part of GSC's mission. Ever engaged. Ever moving the community forward.
