Sunday School
Sunday morning Bible study is the base upon which all our programs are built. Through these groups we strive to challenge our members to participate in daily Bible study, reach out to people who are not involved in Bible study, develop a warm fellowship in all our classes and departments, and provide opportunities for members to participate in ministry to others. We have classes for all age groups Preschool through Adults.
Life Groups
Get connected with Life Groups! Intentional relationships with a small group of people can be powerful when praying together, studying the Bible together, and sharing life together. We have several Life Groups currently meeting during the week, and we have several people involved that would be glad to share more information with you.
If you are interested in opening your home to lead a group, feel free to contact us.
Awana
The Awana program at First Baptist Church is for children 3 years of age through the 6th grade. Three segments provide start-to-finish adventure in every meeting. Each segment has its own purpose, but all of them are FUN.
Game Time – Individual and team competition takes place through circle games exclusive to Awana and playground favorites. Every kid gets involved every night and has a chance to unleash his or her energy.
Handbook Time – Kids work one-on-one with a trained leader to complete assignments in the curriculum materials. Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses that show how to know God and walk with Him. A series of awards and trophies reward achievements at every level as kids progress.
Council Time – Everyone gathers together for singing, announcements, award distribution, and most importantly, a practical Bible message.

Missions
First Baptist Church is an “on mission” church. Missions are prayed for, given to, taught, and done. We are involved directly with missions through mission work both locally and across the world.
We support the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, Dixie Jackson State Offering, and many other mission endeavors that take the good news of Jesus Christ to all peoples.
Awana teaches children in kindergarten through sixth grade about Baptist missions. Kindergarten through second grade children are Sparks and third through sixth grade children are T&T (Truth and Training). They meet every Wednesday at 6:00 They read stories, do activities, and play games that help them learn about missionaries. They also participate in mission projects.
These mission and ministry efforts are open for all ages to become involved in doing missions as we seek to carry out The Great Commission from Batesville, Arkansas, to the far reaches of the world.
