J Harlen Company founder, Joe Harlen Westbrook, sold his first pair of lineman pliers around the age of 15 in his father’s downtown Raleigh electrical supply store. Over the years, the family business steadily grew, and Joe forged relationships with customers and manufacturers in the line construction industry.
In 2001, Joe leased a small office/warehouse and started J Harlen Company with one employee and an idea that customer service is about treating others as you wish to be treated.
