Founded in 2008, The Mona Mentors Community Agency (MMCA) is a non-profit advocacy organization that works to ensure that families at risk for child abuse, and parents and caregivers of children in Children’s Protective Services care receive parent education, resources and family support services within their communities that enable families to become self-sufficient, protect children from abuse and neglect, and ensure families have access to health care, to provide crisis chaplain services to help families overcome families crisis and incidental crisis to help them succeed with the support of loving and caring faith-based communities.
The Mona Mentors Community Agency is supported by corporate grants and individual donations and does not take government funds. The Mona Mentors Community Agency believes that parents must be educated and given a fair opportunity to become responsible adults that care for their children and keep them safe from child abuse and neglect. In addition, we also believe that all children in permanent care of Children’s Protective Services deserves a fair opportunity to reside in a loving and caring home of an adopted parent(s).
The Mona Mentors Community Agency provides Child Abuse Prevention Community Outreach services to educate individuals, communities, professionals, and faith-based agencies on how to protect all children from neglect, abuse, and witnessing domestic violence.
