Christians Gathered to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ meeting in Vandergrift, PA.

We are Christians who meet regularly as a local, New Testament church. Our primary interest is to carry out our Lord's commission in Matthew 28:19,20 to preach the Good News and to baptize and teach believers to observe all things commanded by the Lord. We firmly embrace the faith which was once delivered by the Lord and His apostles, believing that the Bible is Divinely-inspired and is worthy of being our only creed and infallible guide. We have a deep commitment to Biblical Christianity.

We gather as an assembly in and unto the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, claiming His promise that He is in the midst (Matthew 18:20). We have no denominational affiliation and are self-supported. We do not have a visible, earthly head or central headquarters, but are solely responsible to Christ who is the risen Head of the church. We acknowledge elders in the assembly to whom God has entrusted responsibility. They teach the Bible by their lives and their words.

The Good News of the gospel that we preach is that "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3,4). We believe that there must be a personal experience of discovering one's guilt before God Who is just and holy. As lost and helpless sinners, we face Divine judgment in hell. Our only salvation is through receiving Christ as personal Savior and Lord.

All are welcome to observe the services. No public collections are ever taken and no appeal is ever made for funds or pledges.

It is the desire of the Christians that gather here to provide a warm and spiritual atmosphere in which the entire family can find encouragement, growth and lasting satisfaction as promised in the Word of God.

We place great importance on the family structure. The future of our children is vital. We are not content only with their good health and education, but we desire that they have proper spiritual guidance and training. We invite you to come and bring your children to the Sunday School where there are classes for all ages, and happy, dedicated teachers that give Bible lessons that are suitable to each age group. Parents will find warm acceptance and teaching in the adult family Bible hour when the Word of God is opened and ministry is clearly given, "rightly dividing the word of truth."

We do not wish to enter into denominational arguments with anyone. We conduct ourselves and any sessions here in an orderly fashion. We never pressure anyone about "religious matters". We simply present the truth from the Word of God for we believe that Scripture is contemporary and has answers for us today and forever!
