Disposal of Waste Materials in East Baton Rouge Parish following the August, 2016 Flood TO: Attention Residential Builders, Home Improvement Registrants, and Homeowners in East Baton Rouge Parish The responsibility for disposing of waste materials generated from residential construction projects following the August, 2016 Flood rests with the contractor or with the individual homeowner, if they are performing their own work. As FEMA no longer reimburses the City of Baton Rouge for debris removal services, materials left curbside will not be picked up by the City-Parish. Please ensure that your contractor includes clauses for the disposal of these construction waste materials in your contract. For homeowners who are conducting their own repairs, materials must be disposed of by placing them in your garbage carts if they will fit, or transporting them to the North Landfill at 16001 Samuels Road.
