Update: HOME International Guatemala, a Home for Orphans, Ministry and Education, has now been in operation for five months. UPCI Missionary Lynne Jewett reports: What a privilege to be able to love and care for the abused and neglected children of Guatemala! In just a few months, we have already seen a marked change in several of the children. The Lord has literally “changed their mourning into dancing.” One little girl used to cry a lot and have tantrums, but now you see her skipping and singing everywhere she goes. All the children five years and older are enrolled in a local Christian school. We have a teacher on staff who works on early childhood development with the younger children in the mornings, then helps the older children with homework in the afternoon. We are so grateful for Apostolic Man, Global Missions United Pentecostal Church, and the General Youth Division for all their support for this project. Just this week, we received funds from Sheaves for Christ to purchase our first HOME vehicle. How exciting! Thank you for your continual prayer support for each of these children as we work towards the healing of their bodies, minds, and spirits. You can also help us help them by becoming a monthly sponsor of the Guatemala Children's HOME through Global Missions (GMP.319689). You can follow our activities by visiting our Facebook page (H.O.M.E. International) or www.supporthomeinternational.com.
