Mission & Vision Statement Our Vision: To transform each church member into a Christ-led disciple nurtured and equipped by God’s word whose purpose is to build up the body of Christ in Solano County and the world St. Mark's Lutheran Church is a community of believers joined together through Holy Baptism into the body of Jesus Christ. Through the Word and Sacraments, we hear and share in the forgiveness of sins, and we are empowered for ministry in daily living, according to the gifts and talents God gives us. We feel especially called respond to the mandate of the risen Christ: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19) Our mission: nurture discipleship, communicate the gospel, and serve the community. We believe that God calls us to nurture and exercise our own discipleship, to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to unchurched members of our local community through gifts and resources of St. Mark’s congregation, and to serve our global community through our partnership in Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
