Originally chartered by eighteen memebers in 1874. The Rev. W. K. Marxhall met at the home of Dr. E. N. McAuley, a prominient McKinney physician who became one of the first deacons. The initial church building was completed by 1876, and a donated bell for the tower dedicated on July 4th of the same year still remains with the church today! At First Presbyterian Church McKinney, we are a Christ centered congregation led by the Holy Spirit, and guided by the Holy Scriptures along with the Confessions of the Church to reach out to our community around us.
