Who are Fabrique customers?

We have had customers from all around the world, whether they are apparel designers, fashion students, prom girls, home-sewers, brides, ice skaters, mother or grandmother of the bride/groom, dancers, or people who just love the feel and look of quality fabrics!

What kinds of fabric do you have?

We carry a very wide range of fabrics: jersey knit, designer fabric, beaded and embroidered lace, Italian wool, Sea Island cotton, brocade, burn-out silk, Italian cotton shirting, dancewear knit, power mesh, Chantilly and Solstice lace, metallic pleated silk, silk jersey, tweed, printed silk charmeuse and crepe de chine, Bemberg rayon lining, linen, denim, cashmere, feathered fabric, bridal lace, matelasse, crinkle silk chiffon, silk taffeta, organic fabric, and burn out velvet!

What makes your fabrics special?

Every fabric that Fabrique offers has been hand-picked for our customers. We take into consideration fashion trends, designer collections, celebrity styles, student projects, designer’s and dressmaker’s needs, color trends, classic looks, rare and unusual looks, and above all-the quality of each fabric.

Do you carry buttons?

We carry everything from classic to crazy buttons! We have designer buttons like Chanel, Versace, and DVF. Ever heard of Czechoslovakian buttons? Well, we have them! They are the most beautiful iridescent GLASS buttons! We carry buttons made from wood, coconut shells, mother of pearl, vintage, rhinestone, satin-covered, hand-painted, metals, and actual nickels that might’ve previously been at the bottom of your purse!

Do you have appliques and trims?

Yes! Our appliqué and trim selection includes everything from feathers, leather, Swarovski crystals, to woven, beaded, and embroidered. These details can be added to pageant dresses and bridal gowns to Chanel jackets and winter coats!

Do you carry patterns?

Yes. We carry VOGUE (40%off everyday), Folkwear, Christine Jonson, Sewing Workshop, Decades of Style, and our very own Fabrique patterns!

I heard you can create custom clothes at your store- how does that work?

We sure do! To start this process you need a design and fabric! If you are inspired by a magazine or internet picture, designer dress, movie, or simply a pattern, it is always good to go ahead and bring it in. That gives us a good idea of what you are looking for. If you haven’t found your inspiration yet- come in, take a look at our fabrics and patterns and we guarantee a design will be sparked! Once the design is chosen, we can help you find the perfect fabric. Every Fabrique employee knows how to sew- therefore they will know what works with each design or pattern. At this point in the process, we will be able to refer you to dressmaker. All the dressmakers we refer have not only come to us with wonderful work they have previously done, but through their time with us, they have resulted in quality garments time after time. The time frame for custom clothing depends on a couple factors: difficulty of design and the ultimate deadline you will need the garment to be finished. 4-6 weeks before the event or deadline is usually the best timing. All the fittings will be done here at Fabrique- that gives us the opportunity to see the design transform into reality!!!

What are your weekly emails about and how do I start getting them?

We send out a “Petite Newsletter” every Wednesday. In each newsletter you will find new fabric updates, current classes, a tip or two about sewing, coupons and sale announcements!

How far away do you ship?

Well so far, the furthest we’ve shipped is to AUSTRAILIA!

What kind of classes do you offer?

We offer many different kinds of classes-from Beginner Sewing to Historical Corset classes. One of our goals is to offer classes that are not taught anywhere else. To see all the different types of classes, when they are offered, how much they cost, etc. click on the CLASSES tab at the top of the page.

Is everything you offer available online?

No, but we do try to keep our online inventory up to date as much as we can. We also carry thread, zippers, snaps, hooks and eyes, spiral boning, buckram, hair canvas, horse hair braid, busks, traditional and Russian veiling, machine and hand sewing needles, rotary cutters, and the list goes on. Most of our solid color fabrics (china silk, silk dupioni, silk charmeuse, silk chiffon, etc) are not posted online. If you are interested in finding something rare and specific, there is a good chance we have it! Email us at info@ and we’ll be able to answer any inventory inquiry!
