The Community of faith now known as the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield began meeting on December 11, 1792, over two hundred years ago. Initially the Samptown Baptist Church, we were first housed on the land which is now known as Hillside Cemetery at Samptown.
Now over two hundred years later, we are now located at 201 Hamilton Blvd. After many years of changes, our church still stands strong. As our mission statement says 'Led by the Love of God, we are a caring family of faith, committed to spiritual growth and ministering to those in need.'
We hold Sunday School every week from 9:30-10:30 Our regular service is held on Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30
