*Be truthful. Don't knowingly lie about anyone or anything, including your own identity. No personal insults/attacks or slander toward others will be tolerated.
*Be nice. No racism, sexism or any sort of -ism that is degrading to another person.
*Advertising is not free. Do not use comments as a means to promote your website or business or another person's website or business. Advertising posts will be deleted. Items submitted for stories will be forwarded to editorial staff.
*Keep conversations on topic.
*Be proactive. Report comments that do not follow the standards of conduct for the Star-Herald or Facebook.
Comments violating our Code of Conduct will be deleted and other action may be taken against persons violating the Code of Conduct.

The Star-Herald retains its copyright on all photos, videos, stories and other materials and these items can't be re-printed without permission of the Star-Herald.
