The Refurbished Equipment Marketplace is a non-profit organization specializing in the recycling of previously owned assistive technologies by refurbishing donated Durable Medical Equipment and making it available for purchase at extremely affordable prices by individuals or dealers throughout New Hampshire. Each year the REM sells over 500 pieces of equipment (wheelchairs, mobility aids, hospital beds, bath aids, scooters, portable ramps, etc.) to persons who find the cost of new technology prohibitive.
An Equipment Donation to the REM is the first step in providing quality equipment, which might otherwise remain unused, to those who are in need of affordable assistive technology solutions. All donations are tax deductible and free pick-up is available.
In addition to the website, the REM Showroom in Concord provides consumers the opportunity to examine and test quality equipment (both pediatric and adult) that is available at a fraction of the cost of new. This resource is invaluable for individuals and families who have limited or no insurance coverage, or who need "uncovered items" such as mobility devices, back-up equipment, bath aids, ramps, etc. All equipment sold includes a 7 day return and 30-day warranty.
The REM Technical staff is certified to refurbish Invacare, Sunrise Medical/Quickie, Pride, Permobil, and Amigo products. All equipment is serviced according to manufacturers' specifications and safety recommendations.
