WARM WEATHER MONTHS: Fishing, Fall Hunting, Golfing, Swimming at the Beach, Four Wheeling, Birdwatching (the Chippewa National Forest has the largest breeding population of Bald Eagles in the lower 48_, Biking on the trails in the Forest, Sightseeing (The Lost Forty, Camp Rabideau-one of the oldest original CCC camps, the Scenic Highway), Woodcarvers Festival and our Fall Colors can't be beat.
WINTER MONTHS: Ice fishing, Hunting, Snowmobiling (trailhead right next door), Skiing, Buena Vista Ski Area (skiing, tubing, sleigh rides)
FISHING: For anglers, not only do you find fantastic year around fishing at the lakes located in the Chippewa National Forest, but we are centrally located with fantastic lakes surrounding Lake is miles and is a stocked walleye lake, Upper Red Lake is 30 miles north of us, Winnibigoshish, 30 miles south, Lake Bemidji is 24 and numerous lakes inbetween. Whether you are looking for walleye, northern pike, jumbo perch, crappies, sunfish or even trout just let us know and we will be happy to provide you with a map of the area, map of the lakes & give you a starting spot to get you going. And again, we have a fish cleaning room!
HUNTING: Our hunters enjoy grouse, duck, goose, deer and bear hunting in our area with all the great hunting land and lakes
