Darrel Ryland founded the Ryland Law Firm in 1978 as a sole practitioner. He is focused on areas of practice including personal injury, offshore accidents, real estate law, mortgage loan closings and general law. He was admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; and the District Court, Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana. Darrel received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Louisiana State University in 1971. He earned his law degree (Juris Doctor) from Louisiana State University in 1974. In addition, he was a member of the Honor Society: Phi Beta Kappa and was also named an Outstanding Young Man of America, 1975-1976. Darrel has served as Past President of the Avoyelles Parish Bar Association and is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. As we have grown over the years we have added associates to the Ryland Law Firm: Joseph B. Treuting in 1990, Wesley K. Elmer in 1998, Danielle Soldani-Ryland in 2006, Stephen C. Ryland in 2010, and Blake E. Ryland in 2012.
