Evangelist Jimmy McComas encourages the listener to "break the chains" of addiction. Surviving the loss of his own child to drug addiction, Evangelist McComas uses that heart-rending story to bring light to the problem of addiction and brings a message hope, not only to the addict themselves, but to their friends, family, community and church family that surround them. This is a relevant message for all, even those who have not yet been touched personally by addiction, as it brings with it a clearer understanding of addiction, hope for recovery and the promise of a new life in Christ.

WNS: Lord willing we will go out to serve tonight 8/2/2017. However, if it's raining we will stay in for a Bible Topic/Discussion. Here are a few things we want to do in our community if we get to go out to serve: 1) Visit w/ Grandma Williams and paint her porch rails. The painting will only take one to two people, but she enjoys a visit as well. 2) Visit Harold McClintock in the nursing home in Ashland. This would be for at least a couple men, but would be okay with a group of up to 8. This could be done rain or shine, but we'll likely do it when we have other projects going on, so when it isn't raining. 3) There is a project here at the church that needs some attention. It would be about one hour for just a few people. The landscape stones have lots of leaves in them. We'll take a leaf blower and blow them out into the parking lot, then put them into a wheel barrow and dump them in our fence row out back. This definitely needs to be done when it's dry. Reminder... If it rains, we'll be here at the church for a Bible Topic.

WNS: Remember tonight we are going out to serve! We will meet at the church (1085 Bedford Blvd.) "by or before 6:30pm" and will try to leave promptly at 6:30pm. We will have prayer once on site with the residents. We are going to Gatewood Dr. Mansfield to paint a basement for an elderly woman. We will begin work tonight, but the project will likely take two weeks to finish. We will be painting, so dress appropriately. There will be an opportunity to share with the residents also, so be prayed up and come excited about Jesus! Hope to see you this evening!!
