Dr. Evangelista was named a “Top Doctor” by PHOENIX MAGAZINE in 2010, 2013, and 2014. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona-Phoenix Medical School and has been the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborn. Dr. Evangelista is an expert in minimally invasive surgery and the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee injuries. These include tears of the rotator cuff, labrum, anterior cruciate ligament, and meniscus. For patients with severe arthritis, fractures, and other complex problems, he performs joint reconstructions and replacements of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He is board certified, graduated from NYU medical school, completed residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York, and is fellowship trained in arthroscopy, shoulder and knee surgery, and sports medicine.
