ANB is proud of our President & CEO, Ginger Martin, who is getting ready for her 4th hiking journey to fight against human trafficking with The Freedom Challenge. Ginger and 85 other women will be hiking in Estes Park, Colorado beginning on Saturday, July 8 and ending on Wednesday, July 13. This hike is a training hike for Ginger's 5th climb coming up this September in Machu Picchu, Peru. Here at ANB, we care about social causes both locally and globally. Knowing Florida comes in at #3 in the nation for human trafficking, we felt we needed to take action by supporting the efforts of The Freedom Challenge. Because TOGETHER, we can make a difference in the lives of others and be a voice for the voiceless. To learn more about The Freedom Challenge, please click on the event below.
Will you be a voice for the millions of voiceless women and children trapped in slavery? All levels of experience are welcome. This event was created with all women in mind. We would love to have you join us! You do not have to have experience or be a highly athletic individual to join us. Mom and daughter teams welcome. Women have decribed the FC events as the most life changing experience they have ever had. Will you join this amazing community of ordinary women doing extraordinary things to end slavery and oppression? What: Daily hiking excursions for all experience levels around the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels available. Schedule: Event Begins July 08, 2017. Please plan on arriving by 2:00pm in Estes Park, Colorado. Registration: 3:00-5:00pm. Dinner/Orientation 6:00-9:00pm July 9, 2017 Acclimatization hike Dr. Juli Slattery from Authentic Intimacy July 10-12 2017 Day hike activities with evening dinner sessions nightly. Event is over after dinner July 12, 2017. Housing is provided through the 12th. Breakfast on July 13, 2017 not provided. Climbers depart in AM. All meals are provided after event begins with the exception of July 11, 2017. Dinner is on your own in the town of Estes Park, CO. Price: $795.00 USD This fee includes all lodging, food, transportation to and from the trailheads, and daily snacks. You are responsible for all costs incurred prior to arriving and after departing thehttp://ymcarockies.org/ . Flights and transportation to and from the lodge are not included. Registrations are not transferrable or refundable. Should you be unable to attend after registration is paid, the fee will be considered a gift. Fundraising: Every climber is asked to raise $5,000.00 USD to help support the projects funded by The Freedom Challenge. However, we encourage you to raise even more! A minimum of $2,500.00 USD is required to be raised in order to participate. For Mother daughter teams (daughters in the 5th - 12th grade) the fundraising goal is $1,500.00 each for two and paticipants and an additional $1,000.00 for each additional child. The minimum fundraising requirement for a mother daughter team is $3,000. Every single dollar is effective in bringing freedom and hope! These funds must be raised by June 1, 2017. We are prepared to help you achieve this goal by providing you with all the tools and support you will need, but you must be prepared to work diligently to achieve it! In the event the participant's minimum is not acheived, the registration and gift amounts will be considered a non-refundable gift to the projects. Machu Picchu participants do not have a fundraising requirement for this event since they are already committed to raising $10,000 for the projects. They will utilize this hike as their training hike. Important: Registration closes May 1, 2017! Climbers from outside the US, please email nicole.turner@om.org prior to registering. Thank you!
