J&R Flying Service, LLC is a fixed and rotary wing aerial application service based in Alicia, Arkansas. J&R was founded in January 2008 by owners John Smith and Rick Meeks when they purchased AAC Flying Service, their former employer, from its owners. John and Rick like to say they were in “the right place at the right time” when the business became available, and it gave them the perfect opportunity to reshape and expand the scope of J&R.
J&R Flying Service’s goal is to consistently offer quality service at competitive prices. With over 50 years combined aerial agricultural application experience, and 25,000 combined ag application flying hours, J&R is home to one of the most experienced flight teams available anywhere.
J&R is not just a business though; it’s also a part of the community. J&R proudly sponsors several softball, basketball, volleyball, and intermural teams, and is heavily involved in supporting local schools. The staff at J&R wants to build a company that can be passed down through their families, and will still be serving the ag industry, and the local community, 100 years from now.
The current aircraft fleet at J&R includes three Bell UH-1H “Huey” helicopters and an Air Tractor AT-802 fixed wing crop duster. J&R is licensed for aerial agricultural application in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Missouri.
